Portland Collection Traditional in design, but modern in appearance, the Portland collection adds subtle details and heavy solid wood construction to a Bauhaus-like form. A combination of mid-century modern and Asian influences, each piece sits atop a recessed base with thick, splayed legs. Asymmetrical, integrated drawer pulls are cut in a rounded rectangle shape and accented with oil rubbed bronze metal backing. A double top balances the weight of the base, giving each piece a substantial look. Finished in a smooth, low-sheen walnut, the Portland collection is crafted from butcher block Acacia solid wood. Visible through the transparent lacquer finish are the characteristic contrasting wood grain, knots and hues characteristic of Acacia lumber.
All drawers are mounted on full-extension, ball bearing glides and constructed with 5-sided dovetail drawer boxes, sanded and stained to match the exterior. The dresser and chest top drawers are felt lined for storing valuables.
The mirror features three shelves each 4 inches square by 11 inches high for accessories or cosmetics.
